Stella & Dot, Girl’s Night Out
Any excuse for any of the above makes for a great night out! We enjoyed the easy company, the fun jewelry, and the cozy and quaint atmosphere of 501! I have come to look forward to these nights as a great way to reconnect with old friends and new, both equally special 💜
Consider joining us next time for a casual night out. Here’s what you missed!
You can find your own holiday SPARKLE now !
Happy Sparkling 😉
Deck of Cards Workout! A shock to the body, but appropriate for the week after Thanksgiving.
Every card is valued
Hearts-Jumping Air Squats
Diamonds- Ab Blasts
Queen of Hearts is 12 jumping air squats
Ace of Spades is 16 push ups
We worked our way through 52 shuffled cards. We never knew what was coming next. This workout was crazy! Up, down, run, squat…BURN!!!!
Ok new song…to go on my new running playlist…to go with my new winter training!
This week’s tune is from Passion Pit . They made me a fan with their previous single Take A Walk. This new single Carried Away really gets my head bobbing.
This song has clean and catchy lyrics.
I downloaded it over the weekend and I already ran to it!
I hope you enjoy this song as much as I do😊
Enjoy Getting Carried Away
Fall is here and I’m falling head over heels for boots, scarfs, coats, and tights!
I found a perfect shop to find such trends. Bevello is a great boutique at Virginia Beach Town Center. They feature new designers and traditional classic pieces. Price points range from mid to high. They are known for quality and great service. The stylists in the boutique are happy to assist you as you search for the perfect look. A must if you are shopping for a holiday outfit or New Year’s Eve dress.
Take a look at the Bevello Fall 2012 Fashion show on this YouTube link. See what you think as you view a wide range of styles… And keep an eye out for yours truly 🙂 🙂
Thanks to Sumatra Salon at Virginia Beach Town Center for giving us sassy hair makeovers!
Well it’s Thanksgiving! Yeah!!! A day filled with exercise, friends, family, food, and even some cocktails!
Cider + Captain = Happy, Toasty People
At the risk of sounding cynical, I wanted to start by giving thanks to some unexpected people.
First, to a certain athlete I dated in high school. You weren’t the best boyfriend or even the worst. But you were obsessed with how your body looked. However, you did know some great secrets for getting killer abs that I still use today…and for that I thank you.
Second, to the girl who bullied me all through childhood. Shame on you for picking on me, the smallest girl in the neighborhood. Even though I’m only 5 ft…I grew up feeling tough and able to stand up for myself against anything. For that I thank you.
Third, to my sales manager at my first sales job ever. You told me that sales wasn’t for me and I needed to find another path. You made it so miserable that I quit. But I am thankful that you hired me in the first place. I mastered training and was even among one of the best reps of the year before leaving. I now sell against your company everyday and enjoy converting customers away from you regularly.
On a more serious note I am also thankful for…
A wonderful family
Amazing Friends, old and new
Thankful that I’m back to running today and celebrating that with friends
Thankful for this beautiful city
What are you thankful for?
The weather is turning colder and you may need motivation to get out and run. Just a few days left on my countdown until I run again! Whew whew!!
Here is a song to help get you moving. It also may motivate you to curl up to that special someone on those chilly nights 😊
Calvin Harris/Feel So Close
“I feel so close to you right now, it’s a force field …I wear my heart upon my sleeve, like a big deal”
I like this song because of the simple lyrics and the amazing beat. It’s a happy beat. Very catchy and will be in your head all day ☺
Also a great song as I feel so close to running again 😀
“I promise to run with you, even in bad weather.” This was part of the vows that my cousin and her new husband Matt exchanged this weekend. This statement of course was probably my favorite part of his handwritten vows to her.
Running a race together last winter is where Matt proposed to my cousin Demetria, so it would only make sense that they would include a running reference in the ceremony.
Finding someone to run through life beside you with is such a blessing and I’m so glad they found each other.
I would venture to say there was lots of running and exercising going on in preparing for this wedding. Of course we all wanted to look our best 😊
Check out this sassy Mother of the Bride, 😉my cousin Barbara!
Whew whew!!! She took up running last year and completed the Monument Avenue 10k and has been consistently working out ever since!
Here are some snapshots of all of us having a great time. Burning those last few calories as we danced the night away at The John Marshall in Richmond.
Another Happy Couple on a dance break, recently celebrated 33 years!
Getting jiggy with my bro!
Congrats and Happy Wedding
