On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me 7 minute miles, a six pack of brewskis, a fifth of vodka, Four Season’s Getaway, 3 purple shadows, a pair of cozy Uggs, and some snow for me to ski!
The 7 minute miles will take some work. They don’t need to be 7 minutes flat… just sub 8 minutes. My ideal 5k would be to break 25 minutes. That will entail lots of speed work, lots of mile and 1/2 mile repeats. Plus I need to run off all the Christmas goodies anyway.
This gift is one I hope to give to myself in the upcoming year. My 5k PR from 2012 was 25:36. My best 5k ever was around 19 minutes and change and was from several years back.
Any workout recommendations? Suggestions?
