Make Small Goals

Frankly I think the whole idea of a New Years resolution is a bit silly. I’ve never made one that I can remember. If I want to make a change, I want to make it at that moment. I don’t need it to be the end of the year to do so. Just like I don’t need Valentine’s Day to tell the people I care about that I love them.

Instead of stressing yourself out refocusing your energy on fixing, repairing, and resolving yourself through resolutions…focus on the things that are right and good about your life. Why are those things good? Why are those things working?

By all means, there is room for improvement in all of us. But don’t pressure yourself with the cloud of 365 days. Take it in chunks. A day, a week, or month at a time. Meditate for 10 minutes, eat a healthy lunch, no alcohol this week, no shopping this month. As you accomplish each goal, celebrate your little victory. Then the idea if larger goals will not be as intimidating!

You can do it, go take on the world!
