Swimming Instead of Running

It’s been two weeks since I last ran 😪and I have 8 days until I run again 😃

I stopped running temporarily in hopes of healing my body from some lingering injuries and preventing any new ones.

I’m growing impatient waiting and counting down the days until I’m clear for pavement pounding again.

Running is so convenient. You can go anywhere and anytime. There isn’t much planning or prep to tackle the workout.

Swimming is much different. I have to pack a bag with dry clothes. I have to drive to the gym. I swim for 30-60 minutes. 🏊 I have to shower immediately after🛀, then drive home. Ugh I miss hoping out the front door and just getting to it.

Although after all my complaining…I will say I do like the way I feel after swimming. No soreness… just healthy 👍👍👍

Swimmer Girl

November 3rd and no running 😦 I woke up today to a wonderful and sunny fall day. It would have been a great day to run through the park 😦 But instead I trucked myself to the rec center for some time in the pool.

Last night I pulled out my speedo and readied my pool bag. Time to pull on my Uggs and hoodie and bear the chilly temps for pool workouts. I hope to hit the pool for laps one day a week and maybe go for two!
